2020
Acquisition of Majority Shares of RYCO Hydraulics
Manuli Rubber Industries announced in 2020 that it had acquired the majority shares in Melbourne-based RYCO Hydraulics Pty Ltd (RYCO). MRI merged the wholly-owned Manuli Hydraulics and Fluiconnecto divisions with RYCO to provide an enhanced product range and full global supply and service offering to customers of both companies.
2016
Acquisition of PSI Hydraulics Pvt. Ltd
In 2016 Manuli announced the acquisition of PSI Hydraulics Pvt. Ltd. in India. PSI is India’s 3rd largest company in the field of Hydraulic Fluid Conveyance Solutions, with operations in both Bangalore and Udaipur. PSI products are supplied to OEMs and end users for use in heavy earth moving, construction, machine tools and mining applications to name just a few. This association is expected to provide the optimum combination of both Manuli and PSI’s strengths to the Indian market.

Multi-million pound upgrade
In 2016 the Manuli Hydraulics UK OEM assembly facility was given a multi-million pound upgrade. The upgrade focussed on installing new, state-of-the-art Manuli assembly equipment which is specifically designed to improve efficiency, traceability and cleanliness. As Manuli’s first “Red Factory”, the MHUK facility is now the flag-bearer assembly facility across the global network.

Best Supply Performance
Manuli Hydraulics were awarded “Best Supply Performance” at the Manitou Supplier Conference, where it was recognised for its ongoing exemplary performance in areas such as quality, productivity and engineering

Acquisition of UK based Mercia International Products Ltd (MIP)
In 2013 Manuli announced full acquisition of UK based Mercia International Products Ltd (MIP), a global leader in the design and manufacture of high pressure connectors for underground soft rock mining equipment. This new development is based on a long-standing trading, technical and shareholding relationship that, in recent years, has engendered significant sales growth and market penetration in the underground mining segment

Three manufacturing plants (Manuli Hydraulics Suzhou, Manuli Hydraulics Polska and Manuli Hydraulics Oil & Marine Division) have been certified according to API Q1 (ISO TS 290001)

New Global Sales and Marketing HQ
A new Global Sales and Marketing headquarters for Manuli Hydraulics was established in Manchester, UK. This investment is designed to better meet the needs of the company’s growing customer base both in the OEM sector and the Wholesale sector, around the world by providing a wider range of marketing and sales services as a platform for further growth.

Singapore Relocation
Manuli Hydraulics relocated its Singapore office, incorporating the wholesale and warehousing activity for both Manuli Hydraulics South Asia and Techmaflex Asia. This will support the drive for increased sales effort in Singapore and South East Asia

New hose manufacturing plant in Poland
In 2012 Manuli Hydraulics completed a new hose manufacturing plant in Poland, including the rubber mixing facilities. This unit will pay a key role in supplying markets from northern Europe to central Asia with reduced lead times and transport costs

ISO 9001 and 14001 certification
Manuli Hydraulics India Pvt. Ltd. (MHI) obtained its ISO 9001 and 14001 certifications in December 2012, proving the commitment to outstanding environmental and quality management

“Top Investor China” award
Manuli Hydraulics received the “Top Investor China” award, for Italian companies that have made the most significant investments in China, from the Italy China Foundation and MF – Milano Finanza. The awards ceremony is an opportunity to give a voice to all those companies which “continue to surprise us and who contribute to Italy’s success abroad,” said Cesare Romiti, President of the Italy-China Foundation. The international success of Manuli Rubber Industries is a sign of its ability to seize the opportunities of the Chinese market. “The group has set itself apart in the last year, making substantial investments in China for the development of both the productive capacity of the Suzhou plant,” explained Matteo Marchisio during the China Awards 2011 ceremony, “and the growth of the sales network”.
